Now before I get started, I have been reading a lot of blogs and websites and what to do while pregnant and what to eat and how to dress the bump. Well I am going to tell you my story, some post may be few and far in between but I hope that someone out there will read this and go "Oh hey that sounds like me."
So lets get started
First this is my third pregnancy and I want to take just a couple sentences to to explain what happened.
My first pregnancy I miscarried at 9 weeks and 6 days. I was able to see the baby, and hear the heartbeat before the childs passing, and yes it has been hard, and I know there are many out there who have experienced this, and I want to tell you that you are not alone.
As far as the doctor could tell the baby died of a heart attack, which surprisingly is one of the number one reasons for miscarriage. The babies heart didn't form properly and had a miss beat and died. Although it is a time to grieve it is also a time to rejoice, that little angel blessed my life in just the short time he was here, and even though I am sad to say he isn't with us anymore I would have rather he had gone in the womb then to be born with a heart problem and not be able to accomplish his mission in life.
Now to the second one, I was somewhere around 6 weeks, I hadn't taken a test yet because I didn't want to get my hopes up and then have them crushed. But I knew I was pregnant because I know my body, and something was up.
I was at work and I had a extreme cramp, it was so painful I could't breathe. I had a bad feeling, and when I went to the restroom I was bleeding. I was very upset, but also greatful that it didn't happen later and I was okay.
And now I am pregnant with my third, after I told this story to a friend she responded with "wow, you can get pregnant fast" Yes thank you for that statement, I know.
Well here is where the adventures start...
Have you ever seen "What To Expect When Your Expecting"? Well it is very funny, and has somethings that aren't for children, but I would say that if you are expecting, you should watch it, just so you can laugh and maybe cry (I cried through the whole movie.)
One of the characters seems to have everything that can happen while pregnant happen to her, and I feel like her.
First I have morning sickness, it veries on the day, sometimes I can't keep anything down, and the next day I could eat everything in site no matter what. its bazaar, but hey I can eat, that makes me happy.
Some things I can't eat no matter what
- Milk
- Chicken (no matter how it is cooked)
- Cinnamon
- Red Meat (any kind)
- Bread
- Crackers
- Soda
- Water
- Green Beans
- Corn
- Green Onions
This makes cooking for my husband hard sometimes, because we basically have to make two dinners, one he can eat and one I can eat.
Next, these are all the foods I can eat.
- Cheese
- Noodles
- Mac n' Cheese
- Rice
- Tomatoes
- BBQ sauce
- Salads
- Black Beans
- Any type of Fruit Juice
- Grapefruit
- Orange
- Ketchup
I think that is is, if I come up with more I will let you know.
Next we have the inability to control your farts. This is quite common in the pregnancy world, it comes from your muscles loosening up. Here are two stories for you real quick just to help demonstrate how annoying it is.
>First my husband and I were at Ikea and at one point every time I stepped I would let a little one go, with out any control, and believe me, if I could I would.
>Then later, my husband and I were laying in bed and he turned and started tickling me and I am jerking around and laughing, and all of a sudden out a no where I rip one, it wasn't big but he noticed and he stopped and said to me "Did you just fart?" Me: "Ummm....maybe." He looked at me in disgust and left the room. I am sorry, but he started tickling me, he should have known what that would have started.
Now its on to having to pee ever half hour or more, even if you just went.
And this isn't a "Oh I need to use the restroom" This is a "If I don't find a restroom right now someone is going to have a HUGE mess to clean up" and it usually happens all of a sudden.
Its a "Oh I just see you settling down to a good book, and look you have all the blankets on you all nice and neat, you have a cup of juice sitting next to you, and wait? Did you just take a sip? Well now you have to pee, and you better run for your LIFE!!"
I swear from the moment you get pregnant your bladder hates you.
Now on two my last subject for the day.
P.U.P.P.S.
This is a rash that appears and is extremely rare, it usually shows up within weeks 8-10, it can last your whole pregnancy, or it can go away, it usually appears on designated areas of the body, but were I got it (on the left side of my face) that is even more rare.
Well I did my research and it is caused by a reaction of the pregnancy harmonies in connection with a high acid or citric diet, which is what I have since the only stuff I am really able to keep down is citric or high acid.
It started at me ear and it looks like little blisters, the last thing you want to so is pop the blisters, that only makes is spread and itch worse. I required this on a Sunday and I woke up early Monday morning, to find myself in a headlock and one of my husbands arms wrapped around my middle holding my arms down, apparently I was scratching my face in my sleep. The reason I woke up is because I couldn't breathe.
Well like I said, it is very rare, so you may not get it, unless you are caring multiples, then you have a 80% chance of getting it. And my husband is a twin, and my dad is a triplet, so my chances are pretty high.
That's all I wanted to expand on today. I have many other symptoms like, a sore chest, heartburn, bloating, a high body tempt, and not controllable crying.
Well in tell the next post
