It looks like I won't make my book goal, I became busy and loss track of time, and now my books are due back and its the 30th of December. But I will try to finish one more book before tomorrow, I started it and now I just need to finish it.
We will see what happens and I will update you later.

This years goal.
Yet again I have set a goal for myself on how many books I could read this year. It started out with 25, and it looked like I wouldn't reach that, but then I found time to read, my hours were cut at work due to the pregnancy and then when I had to quite work to go on full bed rest I found even more time on my hands.
So I changed my goal from 25 to 40, I am currently at 37 books. I am currently finishing up the Chronicles of Narnia
My top 5 books I have read so far this year are:
1. The Diamond Secret
By Suzanne Weyn
Which is based of the story of Anastasia, and has snagged my interest as to the origins behind her death.
2. The first two books in the Unfortunete Fairy Tale series
By Chandra Hahn
3. The Magicians Nephew
By C.S. Lewis
4. Princesses of the Midnight Ball and Princesses of the Silver Woods
By Jessica Day George
5. The Tollgate
By Georgette Heyer
I am excited to finish this goal, the last time I set one I missed it by a couple books. It was very disappointing to me so I always try my hardest to reach it.

Week 36
It has been an exciting week for our little family, here is a recap for you with pictures!
the Thursday before last Matthew had a work Christmas party and it was a formal event, so I made myself a wonderful purple dress to fit the occasion,
Here I am sporting it next to our wonderful Christmas tree,
First I had a doctors apt on Monday where I found out that I group B Strep, which means I have to have a IV during labor which I am not looking forward to at all because the IV has to be in my hand it is really painful. (the veins are big enough anywhere else.)
But on the plus side of all of that I did get to see my little man, look at that cute face! And according to my mom he has great player piano fingers.
Then I woke up from a nap two days later thinking my water broke, so we went back to the doctors, and thankfully it hadn't but that doctor said it wouldn't be to much longer till this little guy is here.
Later that night I couldn't sleep because I was having really bad cramps, only to find out the next day that is a sign of labor and a way for my body to get ready to have the baby. So now I am even on my bed rest (put there by my husband) and very bored. But I am looking forward to the day that this will all be over.
I can't say I have had an increase in contractions, but the intensity has increased quite a lot. I know of to stop and take a breather, where as before I could work through it.
It has gotten harder to sleep at night because of the contractions and pain, but I manage somehow, even if its only a couple hours here and there. Most of the time I sleep during the day because its easier.
So now I am just biding my time, filling my days with reading, sleeping, and sewing.
22 days left!

Pregnancy Update!
It has been a very long time since I posted last, but don't worry a lot has happened and I hope to be able to get back to the wonderful world of blogging.
Anyway, I want to give you a quick update of how this pregnancy is going so far.
1. I found out I am at high risk for early labor.
2. I have been put on full bed rest, in hope that it would stop my contractions, which it has slowed them down, but they are still there.
3. We are getting nearer and nearer to my due date and I am starting to freak out.
In October my mother hosted a baby shower for me in San Diego, and it was so nice to get there and see all the friends and family I missed for so long. While there I went to the beach, here are a couple pictures for you.
Right now I am at 35 weeks, it has been a grand adventure, but I will be happy when it is over.
Here is a picture at 32 weeks, though I have grown quite a bit since this was taken.
Since having to go on bed rest I have gotten a lot of books read and some sewing done, that I know I would be stressing about unless I had this much time on my hands. All I do on bed rest is sleep, read, eat, and sew, its a rather boring life. But you get used to it... maybe...

Its a BOY!!
Very excited to let you know we are having a boy!
Here is the announcement my husband made
When we went in for the ultrasound to find out the gender I was super worried that the baby would be gone, I was scarred I had miscarried again. But my husband asured me that the morning sickness was a sure sign that I was fine.
And I was, we went in to the ultrasound and found this wonderful little baby wiggling around, the nurse was surprised at how much he moves. I knew how much he moves because I have been feeling it for a couple weeks.
As you can see from the picture I was 16 weeks when we found out.
I am now 18 weeks and looking a little like a ate a small soccer ball.
The last week or so I have been craving brownies, and so I have been making them, but before a I didn't even like them, yes they were good, but I didn't go out of my way to eat them.
I like this picture I found on Facebook, I feel like it describes me perfectly.
Since I have been growing more and more, my clothes are getting harder to wear, some I can't even get on. Well I decided that I would make a dress, so when my mom way in town she got me some fabric and I got to work. Here is what I made.

I was at 17 weeks when we took this picture. This dress is extremely comfy, and I didn't want to take it off to go to bed.
I am excited to be pregnant, but also nervous to be a parent, there are a lot of things you have to think about and consider, which sometimes I wish they would figure themselves out so I don't have to worry so much. But that won't happen so I must go on.
More posts soon to come!

...Food!
Last night I made homemade stuffed crust pizza, it was sooo good!!
I made two pizzas, one for me and one for Matthew.
My pizza was a plain old extra cheese stuffed crust, just the way I love them, although this time I put a garlic sauce on the crust before I cooked it, which gave it a nice flavor.
Matthews pizza though was quite interesting, on one half I put sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts, on the other side I put hot dogs, this was his idea not mine, I find it rather disgusting, but that's just me.
Anyway, now that we are in the subject of food, let me avert your mind to Pinterest, I was on it a couple days ago, and I was looking at the food because I was very hungry, but didn't want to make anything. And the had a recipe for Jalapeno Wonton Poppers, how amazing do those sound?! I sent a whole bunch of food ideas to my mom for my baby shower.
Well gtg Happy Reading!

Cravings
When your pregnant, you hear all about cravings, there are some practical ones out there, there are also extreamly weird ones that make you wonder if the lady has a alien growing inside of her then a human baby.
For example,
My co-workers wife wanted ho-hos all the time, he would pick up 12-24 boxes before work and come home and they would all be eaten, ALL OF THEM!!
I have another co-worker who's sister in-law wanted rocks, now these has to be a spicific kind of rock from a spicific mountain, So her husband would hike this mountain once a week to get her rocks. She would suck on the rocks, and I thought, oh maybe she need the salt, no she wanted the dirt. THE DIRT!! This is when I start to question if I am having an encounter with someone who has mated with a V. (if you get my movie reference I give you a high five.)
Now it comes to me, all I want is cheese and spicy foods, now the minute I eat spicy foods I get some of the worst heartburn I have ever had in my life, that makes me want to die! But its all worth it in the end, because hey, I got to eat.
Speaking of eating...

Let Me Explain...
I am pregnant!!!
Now before I get started, I have been reading a lot of blogs and websites and what to do while pregnant and what to eat and how to dress the bump. Well I am going to tell you my story, some post may be few and far in between but I hope that someone out there will read this and go "Oh hey that sounds like me."
So lets get started
First this is my third pregnancy and I want to take just a couple sentences to to explain what happened.
My first pregnancy I miscarried at 9 weeks and 6 days. I was able to see the baby, and hear the heartbeat before the childs passing, and yes it has been hard, and I know there are many out there who have experienced this, and I want to tell you that you are not alone.
As far as the doctor could tell the baby died of a heart attack, which surprisingly is one of the number one reasons for miscarriage. The babies heart didn't form properly and had a miss beat and died. Although it is a time to grieve it is also a time to rejoice, that little angel blessed my life in just the short time he was here, and even though I am sad to say he isn't with us anymore I would have rather he had gone in the womb then to be born with a heart problem and not be able to accomplish his mission in life.
Now to the second one, I was somewhere around 6 weeks, I hadn't taken a test yet because I didn't want to get my hopes up and then have them crushed. But I knew I was pregnant because I know my body, and something was up.
I was at work and I had a extreme cramp, it was so painful I could't breathe. I had a bad feeling, and when I went to the restroom I was bleeding. I was very upset, but also greatful that it didn't happen later and I was okay.
And now I am pregnant with my third, after I told this story to a friend she responded with "wow, you can get pregnant fast" Yes thank you for that statement, I know.
Well here is where the adventures start...
Have you ever seen "What To Expect When Your Expecting"? Well it is very funny, and has somethings that aren't for children, but I would say that if you are expecting, you should watch it, just so you can laugh and maybe cry (I cried through the whole movie.)
One of the characters seems to have everything that can happen while pregnant happen to her, and I feel like her.
First I have morning sickness, it veries on the day, sometimes I can't keep anything down, and the next day I could eat everything in site no matter what. its bazaar, but hey I can eat, that makes me happy.
Some things I can't eat no matter what
That's all I wanted to expand on today. I have many other symptoms like, a sore chest, heartburn, bloating, a high body tempt, and not controllable crying.
Well in tell the next post

Some things I can't eat no matter what
- Milk
- Chicken (no matter how it is cooked)
- Cinnamon
- Red Meat (any kind)
- Bread
- Crackers
- Soda
- Water
- Green Beans
- Corn
- Green Onions
This makes cooking for my husband hard sometimes, because we basically have to make two dinners, one he can eat and one I can eat.
Next, these are all the foods I can eat.
- Cheese
- Noodles
- Mac n' Cheese
- Rice
- Tomatoes
- BBQ sauce
- Salads
- Black Beans
- Any type of Fruit Juice
- Grapefruit
- Orange
- Ketchup
I think that is is, if I come up with more I will let you know.
Next we have the inability to control your farts. This is quite common in the pregnancy world, it comes from your muscles loosening up. Here are two stories for you real quick just to help demonstrate how annoying it is.
>First my husband and I were at Ikea and at one point every time I stepped I would let a little one go, with out any control, and believe me, if I could I would.
>Then later, my husband and I were laying in bed and he turned and started tickling me and I am jerking around and laughing, and all of a sudden out a no where I rip one, it wasn't big but he noticed and he stopped and said to me "Did you just fart?" Me: "Ummm....maybe." He looked at me in disgust and left the room. I am sorry, but he started tickling me, he should have known what that would have started.
Now its on to having to pee ever half hour or more, even if you just went.
And this isn't a "Oh I need to use the restroom" This is a "If I don't find a restroom right now someone is going to have a HUGE mess to clean up" and it usually happens all of a sudden.
Its a "Oh I just see you settling down to a good book, and look you have all the blankets on you all nice and neat, you have a cup of juice sitting next to you, and wait? Did you just take a sip? Well now you have to pee, and you better run for your LIFE!!"
I swear from the moment you get pregnant your bladder hates you.
Now on two my last subject for the day.
P.U.P.P.S.
This is a rash that appears and is extremely rare, it usually shows up within weeks 8-10, it can last your whole pregnancy, or it can go away, it usually appears on designated areas of the body, but were I got it (on the left side of my face) that is even more rare.
Well I did my research and it is caused by a reaction of the pregnancy harmonies in connection with a high acid or citric diet, which is what I have since the only stuff I am really able to keep down is citric or high acid.
It started at me ear and it looks like little blisters, the last thing you want to so is pop the blisters, that only makes is spread and itch worse. I required this on a Sunday and I woke up early Monday morning, to find myself in a headlock and one of my husbands arms wrapped around my middle holding my arms down, apparently I was scratching my face in my sleep. The reason I woke up is because I couldn't breathe.
Well like I said, it is very rare, so you may not get it, unless you are caring multiples, then you have a 80% chance of getting it. And my husband is a twin, and my dad is a triplet, so my chances are pretty high.
That's all I wanted to expand on today. I have many other symptoms like, a sore chest, heartburn, bloating, a high body tempt, and not controllable crying.
Well in tell the next post

Birthday
Thats right I am the BIG 21!!
Its kinda weird to say I am 21 now. I never imagined it would come so soon, growing up all I dreamed about was getting older and bigger, now I wish I was a little kid who could run around having fun and goofing off. (I still do that but people tend to look at me funny)
I just want to show you what I got for my birthday,
Mom and Dad Bitter gave me some money to spend how I would like, the first thing I did was get my sewing machine fixed because I have a dress to sew and I am not a big fan of the one I am using at the moment.
Then I had some fun, I got the charcoal grill, utensils, and cleaning brush, all under the price of the grill at Walmart (I got mine at Shopko (thank you sales)) And the Dutch-oven was cheaper then I expected so I saved a bunch, which I was super happy about. The shoes were on sale and I needed new church shoes, so I splurged a WHOLE $10 for those (I know I am quite the big spender)
This is such a cute shirt, it has owls and rabbits on it.
I can't wait to wear this dress I am so excited, I love the colors and the print, its very fun and very me.
My litter sister gave me this awesome TMNT, its not my favroite one, but thats okay, I still love it!

My mom likes to spoil me, and got me some cute clothes that I needed very badly.
This is a gray maxi skirt, you can't really tell because it is on the hanger, but I have to pick it up when I walk because it is so long on me.

Easter
I made this for my Grandma, excited for her to see what she thinks of it.
Its made out of a egg holder, I even made the cute pins out of beads and quilting pins. I even made my sister and my mom one because they are so cute!

Baby Quilt
Don't worry I'm not prego, my Husband and I just want to get a head start on the baby quilt so that its not a last minute project, be we can take our time and enjoy it.
We are doing a pattern made for Heritage Fabrics, its a little shop here in Ogden, Matthew and I both love it. Its super cute and has a lot of wonderful fabric.

We want to make each child a quilt, all will have black and white, but a different complimentary color. This one is black, white, and line green. We got minky for the back, and then a solid white for some consistancy. We love the different patterns we have been able to find in black and white, there are many others that we want to get, but don't have the money for right now.
The next one we are going to do either yellow or red. I can't wait to see how they turn out.
Time with Grandma
A couple weeks ago I was able to spend time with my Grandma in SLC, we went fabric shopping, out to lunch, and just got to hang out. It was really fun. We were in the sewing room and I asked her a question, well that question turned into a sewing project that grew into a throw pillow.
Like the other one, I am waiting to get a pillow form so I can finish it. I love this one, its all made with Aunt Grace fabric, which you can find here http://www.schoolhousequilts.com/ I love the fabric and I can't wait to get more.
I just bought a yard of this From the site. Be careful you may find yourself falling in love with some of these.
I don't know what I will do with it, but it will be adorable no matter what.
Have a wonderful day!
Midnight Snack
Last week I couldn't sleep because I had this Sewing Idea in my head and it just wouldn't go away, so before I went to bed I sketched it out and colored it all nice and pretty. I was so excited to get started on it the next day that I woke up early and went straight to work.
The aspect behind this pillow is to create what looks like a weaving of the fabric, I don't know if I accomplished that or not but I sure think it looks cool. This was my second time machine piecing and I still have a lot to learn, but each project brings on new challenges.
I hope you like it, the fabric are fun and cheery. It isn't finished yet because I need to get a pillow form before I put the border and back on it. I want to make sure it fits a pillow so I don't need to stuff it with fiberfill.
It took an overall 7 hours to complete, with a small break to make doughnuts for breakfast, then it was back to work. It wouldn't have taken me that long, but I measured wrong and I had to re-cut them.
I am going to take the dark red fabric and use it as the border to bring everything together.
Hope you like it!

Fabric
On Wednesday I had the wonderful opportunity to go fabric shopping with my Grandmother, it was so wonderful. And we spent almost the whole day together, it was a lot of fun. She showed me a lot of sewing tricks that I didn't know about, she taught me how to machine piece. It was really fun.
Later Matthew and I went fabric shopping and got fabric for the baby quilt we want to make (no I am not pregnant) and got some fabric for my business, we looked at a lot of different fabrics for one of the months and I am happy with the choices I made, but I am not sure how it will turn out when they cut out and finished.
I wish I had pictures to show you the fabrics, but sadly I don't. Also there is this awesome site called Spoonflower that you should totally check out, it has awesome fabric and you can create your own fabric, which is what I did. Once I get it I will post a picture of it, I am super proud of it.

Opps.... My Nerd is Showing
I am a huge nerd, and sometimes its hard to control my excitement for things I am learning or new information I have come across.
For example this awesome website, it translates words and text into binary. It can also translate numbers into binary.
The author of the website gives a great definition of what binary is and its purpose.
Check it out and have fun, let your nerd show.

Exciting News!
I have very exciting news to share with you, today Matthew took me to the library!
I love libraries, they are one of my favorite places in the world. No joke, and I got to take home 3 new books and an audio book. I started listening to the audio book and I really like it.
Its called "The loins of Iwo Jima" I love it because there is so much of this battle that I didn't know about that I am now learning, and I have read a book about it before and seen a movie, but none of those depicted what this book brings to life.
It talks about leadership, the mens respect for there leaders and there commitment to the core.
It also gives a lot of information about Iwo Jima that a lot of people didn't know about and the reasons why they wanted to take it.
I can't wait to finish it.
