They Are Gone!!

Last Wednesday I had my most wonderful tonsils removed!! (So happy)

Matthew said that when the doctor came out to talk with him, the doctor said that I had the worst tonsils he has ever seen and that I should have had them removed years ago. He was surprised that I have lived with them that way for so long, he said I must have been in a lot of pain. (Which I was)

He also said that I had over 30 tonsil stones on each tonsil.
A tonsil stone is what forms when white blood cells mix with bacteria. Its very normal to have one or two of these on your tonsils every once and a while, well I would get 10+ a day, three days before the surgery I removed 18 from just one tonsil. They taste disgusting and make your breathe stink, I wasn't that surprised I had that many because I knew it was bad.

He also said that I had a lots of little buts a food in the tonsils because my "craters" were so deep, gross right?

Well all went well, the IV went in nicely, it only hurt when they had me put my hands at my sides so they could strap me to the table. And the nurse who pulled it out did a wonderful job and I didn't feel it at all!! Which was amazing because when I had my last IV I had a huge bruise and it hurt for weeks afterwards.

Needless to say I woke up after surgery talking my head off and telling the nurse a lot more then she needed to know. But I can't remember anything she said, but I hope I made her day.

At the hospital they told me to only eat soft and cool things, on the way home we stopped by taco bell and got bean burritos with extra cheese and hot sauce, I haven't really fallowed any of their guild-lines besides eating yogurt, but mt throat feels wonderful and I am happy that they are no longer in me.

My grandmother is very happy that they are out, she says that I am already a happy person, but she could tell when I wasn't doing well because of my tonsils and now thinks that I will be an even happier person because my body will no longer be fighting the virus that was in me.

There is a quick update on the life of Heather Bitter, til the next post.
