The Art of Stitching.

Some years ago my mother stared a Mother Daughter quilting club, we started off by just learning the basics, and then we went on to the design, layout and size of whatever we were going to make.

I have been working on my blocks for awhile and I have learned a lot, and I always do it with my mom.

Quitling has been such a cool thing to do, and my quitling is all hand done and it is recreates of Civil War quilts.
This is the book:

Each quilt block has its own store to go with it, it is really cool to see how the woman delt with the war, and to see what life would have been like living through it.

These are the blocks I did over the weekend (april 5-7), the one on the right was already half way done, and the one on the left was already cut out, it just needed to be sewn. Some people think I am crazy, but I enjoy it soo much, and my mother and I have turned it into a tradition.

These are the blocks I have made over the years, I have 26 blocks, I just need to decide what I am going to make. I was going to make a quilt, but I think it will get to warn. SoI am thinking of doing it as a wall hangings. I think one big one and then a couple small ones. So I can put them in frames and make them last longer.

Hope you enjoyed this post, I have anothere one soon to fallow.
