College!!

So I am in Sunny Utah right now, just moved here from SoCal. Its been a good change for me.  Nice weather feels like home.... well a tad less humid, but stil nice and warm.

Here are some dish rags I made before I left, so far I have only used one of them.

The dishes I bought with my birthday money.

Pot holders my grandma made me for my birthday.

After moving here, my sister and I want on an adventure around SL.

New Adventures

I moved to Utah a little over a month ago.

Well here is the super exciting news, on the 7th of may I went to a class with my roommate. After class I was hanging with a friend who one introducing me to a lot of people, and of which was Mathew.

Mathew commented on my skirt (which I made) I said I run my own buisness which guess what? He runs his own too! We swapped business cards. We got to talking and we realized we have a lot in common.

After talking for an hour we decided to go for a walk to a local fabric store called Tissue Paper, super cute! Love the store!!

His friend (the owner) asked if we were together, be both shook our heads and said no, that we had just met.

Well a lot of face booking, stalking, talking, and hanging out, led to him asking me out on a date, and two days later to asking me to be his Girl friend. You need to understand that we had known each other for 10 days, but I couldn't say no to this boy.

He is amazing, and I am so glad that we have found each other.

The fallowing Wednesday we planned to go hiking.

Here are some pictures of that trip.

(And if you are wondering, no we didn't make it to the top, I got altitude sickness, and well....we will leave it at that :D)

This is at the half way point.

I think we are the cutest couple ever!!

I am very excited for the many adventures to come!!

The Art of Stitching.

Some years ago my mother stared a Mother Daughter quilting club, we started off by just learning the basics, and then we went on to the design, layout and size of whatever we were going to make.

I have been working on my blocks for awhile and I have learned a lot, and I always do it with my mom.

Quitling has been such a cool thing to do, and my quitling is all hand done and it is recreates of Civil War quilts.
This is the book:

Each quilt block has its own store to go with it, it is really cool to see how the woman delt with the war, and to see what life would have been like living through it.

These are the blocks I did over the weekend (april 5-7), the one on the right was already half way done, and the one on the left was already cut out, it just needed to be sewn. Some people think I am crazy, but I enjoy it soo much, and my mother and I have turned it into a tradition.

These are the blocks I have made over the years, I have 26 blocks, I just need to decide what I am going to make. I was going to make a quilt, but I think it will get to warn. SoI am thinking of doing it as a wall hangings. I think one big one and then a couple small ones. So I can put them in frames and make them last longer.

Hope you enjoyed this post, I have anothere one soon to fallow.
