The Sun Shines In December.

During the week of christmas I had the oppertunity to visit my best friends family, and for an afternoon snack we went to Ruby's for milkshakes and fries. The walk there was soooo lovely, I had to take pictures, and of course I had to share them with you, I hope you enjoy them.

Oh the joy to read a book!

For Christmas this year I got a Kindle Touch, I an super excited to use it. If you know me you know how much I love to read and how much I do read. I have however a problem, I havent finished some books that I have to read. And I can't start new books until I finish the old ones, and right now I dont want to read the old books, but being the good girl I am I picked up The Real George Washington and I decided I would finish it by New Year's Eve, I found that I had 300 pages left. I can read that many pages in a day or two, but for some reason this book has been so hard for me to read. I figgured out why that was.

The last book I read in this collection was about a great Thomas Jefferson, who if you dont know, was a key particapant in the creation of the Constituion and the creater of the Declaration of Independenc. He to me is one of the greatest membors of the Constituional Convention.
When he was 15 he spent up to 15 hours reading, and would rather read then go out and party. I love to read and would like to read as many books as I can before I die.

The book I am currently reading is about George Washington. Who I love too, I just dont relate with him very much. his acts of virtue are estounding and I love how he lead this county with  hope and faith in Heavenly Father that they would make it through the war. But as far as I have read its been all about the war. Dont get me wrong I love some of the stories and the adventure behind all of it. I just dont really like to read about war tacktis, I like to read about gardening and reading. So it has been hard for me to trasition.

I have noticed that the more offten I read about George Washington and the longer I read also, its gets easier and more enjoyable, I have learned to like the book.

The books are called:
The Real George Washington
The Real Thomas Jefferson
The Real Benjamin Franklin

I have yet to read the last one. But I would recomend these books to anyone who is looking for a book to read.

I love both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson so much, they were great/wonderful/awesome men who set a standerd to live by.

I think one of the sadst things about this area of youth ande teenagers is they dont know/arent tought the characters of the Founding Fathers, there are so many things you can learn, I also bet that half the youth can't name five men who were in the Constitual Convention.

Needs les to say I did not finish the book in time, but I want to finish it by the begining of the second week of January.

I am excited to finish this book and go to the next one, I have a very long semester ahead of me, and this is the only way to get it started.

(sigh) Its over!

My first semester of college is over, and even though it was just community college. I loved one of my teachers, and the other one I dont think liked me that much. but she was good non the less. I took an English class and Jazz dance. Since I have been Homeschooled my whole life this was my first glimps at what school is like. It was very interesting, I made a lot of friends, had a lot of laughs. I was sad to see it go, but at the same time I am excited for the next chapter in my life.

I have thought about it and I dont want to spend my whole life being stuck at a community college for the rest of my life, I feel like I have more to offer the world and just having a cumminity college education isnt going to cut it for me, I need more work, and I need to challenge myself. I dont want anyone to think that a community college education is bad, its very good, I just think its not right for me.

I have decided that I will forgo going to college this next semester, I'm going to study and take the ACT. I feel that that is the most importent thing for me to do. I'm going to continue my learning by reading and writing, and of course studying. I'm really excited to get started. I'm excited to learn.

I want to go to BYU-Provo, my brother was accepted to BYU and I want to join him. My father has been teasing me that I just can't take the test that I accutally need to get a good score to get in. Of course I will try my hardest on the test. I'm not one to give my second best. I always try to give my best.

I'm excited to get started on the college life. This next semester I also want to try and get a job, I love to work, and I'm willing to do anything, except cleaning up elephent poo. That I wont do.

I am excited to see what the new year will bring!

Had lots of turned heads, pictures taken, and a lot of fingers pointed. I guess thats what happends when you have a 12 foot tree on the top of a van.

Every year for Christmas we get a 7-8 foot tree, but this year we wanted to splurg a little and get a 12 foot tree, so we went on over to my friend tree farm and picked out a beautiful talll tree. When we cut the tree down we cut three feet up because the tree was to tall. We loaded this tree onto the top of our 12 foot van and cut the rest of the truncks branchs off to use around the house and such.

<><>
<>
<><>
Getting the tree down after a long car ride home. To get it on in the first place I stood on the roof of the van with a rope while my dad, brother, and two friends helped push it up. Its heavy and very big, but so worth it.

We got that sucker in the house, we went to put it up and it was to tall! So my dad cut a foot of thinking it would fit, and it still doesnt, so we are going to put it in a new spot and just hope everything fits, because we dont want to have to cut it again. It will take a ladder to decorate it, as you can see how short my dads 6' ladder is compared to the tree. If only we were wizards, that would make it so much easier.

Our 11' foot tree in the middle of the music room, we will move it so it is up against the right wall. But it sure takes up a lot of room non the less. It will also take a heck of a long time to decorate it.

Agricultur

"The class of citizens who provide at once their own food and their own raiment, may be viewed as the most truly independent and happy. They are more: they are the best basis of public liberty, and tge strongest bulwak of puplic safty. It follows, that the greater the proportion of this class to the whole society, the more free, the more independent, and the more happy must be the society itself."
-James Madison

"Those who labor in the earth are the chosen people of God, if He ever had a chosen people."
-Thomas Jefferson

"Cultivators of the earth are the most valuable citizens. They are the most vigorous, the most independent, the most virtuouse, and they are the ties to their country and wedded to its liberty and interests be the most lasting bands. As long therefore as they can find empolyment in this line, I would not convert them into mariners, artisans, or any thing else. But our citizens will find emploiment in this line till their number, and of course the productions, become too great for the demand both internal and foreign."
- Thomas Jefferson

The above quotes really emphasize what I think and believe Agricultur is. Its not only growing things, but its taking care of your country and yourself. As the coming years look grimmer and grimmer, with gas prices going up, food becoming more expensive, and the country growing more dept, how do you think this world will become?
I have met so many people who dont know what a honeydue is, or how to cut it. How independent is that person?

If you are Agriculturie Independent that mean you dont have to rely on the groery store for food, it means you only have to worry about the price of seeds going up. It means you can grow a wheat feild and grind your own wheat for flour.

Agriculter is the act of gardening and farming.

I love gardening, I have a small yard and I'm not able to to have chickens and goats like I would like, but I am able to do my part by growing and keeping a garden.

A lot of poeple think its really hard to have a garden and there is no point to it. Well I can tell you it is importent in ever way.

Here are some pictures from my garden and I will tell what it has been like to grow it. I will also show you pictures from my last harvest and how wonderful that was.

You have seen this picture before. But I have to tell you how happy and hopeful I was when I planted these seeds. All of which are my favorite foods.
Last year I bought all my plants, but this year i'm trying all seeds no plants. Last year when I tried seeds they all died right after planting, and this year I am being more careful as to wear and when I plant them.

When you see the first sprouting of your seeds you feel soo happy, I felt happy, I was excited, I felt like a proud parent. (even though these arent my kids, nor do I have any kids)
You feel a sence of accomplishment knowing you did something right to grow a plant.

This is what part of my garden lookedf like last year, I got sooo much produce from it. My squash plant (bottom righthand cornerish) gave me 20-30 individual squash. I Got a LOT of tomatos. 10-15 Jalapenos a week. And one or two green pepers. I was so happy, and the best upside is that I didnt have to drive anywhere, I just had to walk out my back door.

This is my prized Jalapeno plant that I called "my baby." When you grow and take care of a garden you get attached to it. You become sad and mad when I bug makes its home on or in one of your plants. You feel the need to take care of your garden.
It is somewhat easy to care for a garden, you just have to remember to water it everday, because if you dont your plants don't like you very much. I can't wait for my garden to become bright and big again, where I can go out ans take peas and green beans right off the vine and eat them.

This is what agricultur means to me. I hope you try and make it meaningful too.

The Food of the Season

Thanksgiving was fun this year, we had many yummy things to eat and snack on. It was fun to hangout with the family talk and laugh.
My kitchen has been under remodel for 8 months, so when it was finally done, I just had to break the new ovens in by making 120 banana cranberry muffins (sprinkled with cinamon and sugar.) Lets just say they were super good, but I had way to many.
I made the muffins on monday before thanksgiving, so at lunch on thanks giving I had them as a snack, everone loved them. My next project is lemon cranberry muffins, which I think will taste super good.

On Thanksgiving we had a lot of problems with the ovens, since they are new we didnt really know how to use them, we had a couple over cooked dishes, but everything still turned out super good!!!
I made a broccoli and cheese soup for lunch, which everyone loved, and it was the first time I had made a soup not from a can!
I can't wait for Christmas to be here, I love making cookies, toffee, and this year I'm going to make sugar plums, I have always wanted to, but never have. And some canned watermelon. Look for those posts soon.

Egg dish I made for breakfeast on Thanksgiving.

My mothers super good cinamon rolls she try's to make each year.

A Glimps of Greatness.

"Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them"
 William Shakespeare: Twelth Night.

Everyone has greatness in them, its just a matter of finding it. Ever since I was 12 I have always been told how great I am, or how great I can become. But greatness doesn't come from you sitting on your couch, or watching tv, greatness comes from doing something. A lot of people are scared to do something new.
When in fact the only reason people are scared to do something new is because they might fail.
When I was in government every paper I would right had a chance of being DAed, which means Do Again. It was very upsetting to me because I viewed DA more as a F, when in fact it is the teachers way of helping you achieve greatness. And it wasn't like we had to do the whole paper over again, it was some spots we had to smooth out, a sentience that didn't flow right, a line that didn't make sense, little things, that when I looked at it I saw "your not good enough, do it again." when really it meant "that was wonderful, but it will be even better once you fix these couple things."

As the quote above says "Some are born great." What does that mean?
I think it mean that that there are those born with the ability to do something. Like a sport, or a painting. They have the eye or the strength to do it. Maybe the painter can't play basketball or the Basketball player struggles with the paint brush. There are many great man and women in history who were born great, Queen Elisabeth, Galileo, etc. They all had the knack for something that they were born with. I was born great in creating things, I can look at a dress and figure out how they made it, I can sew. I have been sewing since I was little, I have a natural knack for it, but for others its a real struggle to sew and create.

  "Some achieve greatness."
Here is a quote from an article I found on a man named Heber J. Grant
"Young Heber absorbed and perfected this attitude. He grew up believing that there was no reason why he, with the help of the Lord, could not accomplish anything he made up his mind to do. He often quoted Ralph Waldo Emerson: “That which we persist in doing becomes easier for us to do; not that the nature of the thing itself is changed, but that our power to do is increased.” (Quoted in Conference Report, April 1901, page 63.)
And Heber J. Grant practiced what he preached.
He loved to tell about the many hours he spent learning to throw a baseball so he could be accepted on the top team. He told about struggling to improve his penmanship so it would represent him well; his handwriting was later considered unusually beautiful. From the pulpit, he extolled the singing of the hymns of the Church as a marvelous way to worship. He had made great efforts to learn many of the hymns by heart and could sing them without mistakes—even though he seemed to have no natural gift for music."
Here is a quote of the mind set of some of the people today.
"Some people find many reasons for not doing things in life. Some don’t want to work. Some excuse their way out of family responsibilities. Some claim to be too tired, ill, busy, poor, or self-conscious to help others. Some want to use their talent only for bigger, “more important” things. There are those who are content to let somebody else do what needs to be done, and others who simply talk endlessly about love or peace or service."

With the mind set of the second quote no one will want to do anything today. I have experienced the sad mind set of to days youth, not only are they lazy, they don't know how to do things. There have been many times where I have done or said something and the youth next to me start complaining because they might have to lift a finger. the parents and teachers of today have taught the youth of today not to work and to think little of themselves, they don't try to teach their kids right from long, and they teach the youth not to be great, they teach them to not work and that everything will be given to them. I'm not saying this is ever kid in the US, but most of them yes.

I was talking with a friend and I asked my friend why he wasn't in school. He told me the only way he would go back to school was if he didn't have to pay and it was free like public school. That's so sad, I can think of so many things he could do to make himself greater, but hes not willing to put the time and money into it. I personally don't care if I have money or not, there is a library down the street and its free, there are so many things you can learn in a book, or on youtube watching How Things Are Made, and other things like that, but a lot of the youth don't care if they are smart or have a good job. And they aren't willing to work.
I love Heber J. Grant, because he shows you that you can be great, and yes it does take a little work, but isn't that better? You get so much more out of something if you put something into it. I have things given to me free, and I don't care much for it. But if I work towards something I feel like I have accomplished so much more then if I had gotten it free.

Heber J. Grant didn't care how long it took to accomplish something, as long as he had the Lord on his side he knew he could do it. He didn't see problems as problems, he saw them as hurdles he had to get over.  In the quote describing how he accomplished things, it said he struggles, not that he went to the store and bought a new pen that made it so he could write better, but that he struggled to get his penmenship readable, and then to beautiful. All things are accomplished with a little struggle. Some things may take a day, and others years, but if you set your mind to you can accomplish it.

Here is one of my favorite quotes by Thomas Edison
“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

This quote has always stuck with me, its a wonderful quote, and is true in many ways, but it makes you stop and think. Are you someone who misses the opportunity's?

"Other have greatness thrust apon them"
I have been in some cercomstances where I had to stand up and take charge, even if people didn't want me to do it, it had to be done.
Where a leader was needed but no one would stand up. Its really scary taking a stand, or having greatness thrust apon you.
I think a good example of some one who was thrust into greatness was Goerge Washington, he didn't want to be in the war, but because of what he had studyed and knew, he was thrust into the war, which he enjoyed sometimes, but he didn't like the boodshed it caused. He led the nation with virtue and integrity. But I think the greatesnt thing he led with was God, he prayed a lot. He trusted the Lord, and knew that the Lord would guide him in whatever he needed.
I think the biggest thing to remember is that the only way you will reach greatness is with the power of God. You may think that it is your gift of being tall or having an eye for color and detail. But you need to remember who gave you that gift and who made you the way you are. You need to thank the Lord for your greatness and ask him to help you.
George Washington is one of the greastest men in history, and he only accomplished that greatness with God.
Here are a couple quotes by him.

"Let us raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair; the rest is in the hands of God."
"It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible."

Prayer in Schools

I saw a bummper sticker that said "As long as there are tests in schools, there is prayer in schools."
This is a very true statement, I have many friends who pray during class and tests, and no matter how hard the schools push to get rid of prayer it will always be there.
Last semester in goverment, my dear friend and I had to study a previous Supream Court case and re argue it infront of a board of judges, it was scary,  but a lot of fun. I love to study and learn new things, so that wasnt hard, it was hard to deal with the point of view we had to argue.
The case was Engle vs. Vitale, it was on the rights to have prayer in school. I was on the side agenst prayer, and being someone who believe in prayer and thinks it should be said, it was hard to see their point of veiw, but it was very interesting to me to read and study it. In the end my team won. But it was hard.
For some people prayer isnt importent, so they see no need for it or feel like their children shouldnt be exposed to it. I think that a lot of people will find anything to get offended about, that it doesnt matter what it does to the other person, just what it does to them.
Prayer is real, it works, so even if you can't say a prayer outloud, that doesnt mean you can't say one in your heart when you need it.

The stage life.

This past weekend I had the oppertunity to get a glips at stage life, although I have been an actress since I was 12, i havent been in a play since last year and have missed it greatly.
My yonger brother and sister were in the play Willy Wonka, and I helped backstage with the make up and costumes. In the past i have always been in the play or stage manager, but now I was just a helper. Which was fine, but as I watched the acters and actresses get ready I missed the hustle and bustle of the stage life, like not finding your shoes, or your missing your eyeliner. Things like that.
On Saturday the stage manager came up to me and told me one of the crew members was sick and was wondering if I could fill in. I gladly took it wanting to do something more. As I sat backstage waiting for my turn to more something, I felt joy and I was excited. I had missed the thrill of moving sets. It was really wonderful to me to be able to do that small bit yet again.
I Can't wait till I will be on the stage sayinf lines, interacting with fellow acters.

A lot of people have asked me "how do you do it?" I have to say it is very nerve racking being on stage, but you have to think the words you are saying arent yours, they are someone elses, thats not you on stage its someone else. If you get in that mind set you will be a better acter. I hate giving speechs, and its not that I'm bad at them or anything, its just its me giving the speech not Julet, but when you think of your self on stage think "Its not me its ______" and you will get a lot farther then you have with acting.
I have been in a lot of plays. Before I became an actress I was the shyest person you have ever seen, I wouldn't talk to new people, I wouldn't answer the door, I stayed to myself and didin't talk. But if you look at me now, you wouldn't have guessed that is was the same person.
Acting takes the best out of you, and makes you greater, but it can also change you for the worst, be careful, but have fun!

A Hedgehogs Paradise.

This post has nothing to do with hedgehogs jsyk, but I have a dear friend who like to put Elephant in all her Album names even if it has nothing to do with elephants. Well my fav animal is the Hedgehog so I thought I might as well dp a post name with it, even if the post itself has nothig to do with it.

This post id really about a quote type of thing i said earlier today "Today I was thinking about how much I think how wonderful people are, but I never remember to tell them, so my thoughts are just thoughts and not actions." It may seem like a stupid quote coming from someone so young, but I will tell you that life is to short to not tell someone something each day, wheathers its a I Love You to a parent, or a small note to a friend. I can tell you now that it will make you a lot happier and brighten the other persons day too. I love giving notes to people. Even if its just a txt, no matter how small, if it comes from the heart its worth it all."

Many times I have been lightened by the kind words of a friend, and many times i have done the same fro someone else, you never know if the time is right, but if you get a thought act on it, because it is most likely the Lord.

It may seem silly but it is one of the greatst things friends charish.

Witchs night out!

I got back yesterday from a very short trip to Salt Lake City, Utah. My mom and I left early Friday, on Saturday there was a party sort of thing where you go for free, to a place called Gardners Village and everyone there is dressed like Witchs. It was fun, I made and designed my own costume (which btw costed more then my prom dress to make.) I didnt buy much even though I wanted to, I did get a cool ring and necklace. I met up with a really good friend that I hadn't seen in years.
Here are some picturs.

This is the dress I made for it!
My mom and her best friend.
One of the sugar pumpkins we made.

This is Kaicer!!

What to be for Halloween?

Ever year we go through the same rutine, we pick a hero, a princess or a creature, and then two weeks later we change it. Every kid wants to be his/her greatest Hero.
What if you were that kids "Hero"? What if your child or a child you know wanted to be you?
We should be some one of heroric acts, like dressing up, reading and playing with your child, because you will be the greatest hero your child can have, everyother "Hero" out there is fake, but your not, so dont be fake to your children.
Be your childs greastes "Hero" so they will dress like you next Halloween.

Cards!

Every six months I make cards (I also make them during the six moths, but I make the most every six months.)

Now I usauly just make plain "how are you", "thinking of you" type of cards, but this year I wanted to get ahead of my Christmas cards. Saturday I made mostly blue theamed cards, and Sunday I did acouple brown ones, but wasnt really feeling inspired. But I have had this idea in my head for some time, but wasnt sure if it would work, I talked with my best friend and he said he liked it. So on Sunday I tried it out.

I present picture frame cards.

This is the only halloween one I made, but its cute!

Here is a side look at the 3D.

The idea behind these is, that you have a picture up on the wall and the image inside the frame is coming out, its becoming 3D so to speak. My favorite one is the first one, which is the first one I made. Tell me what you think.

Here is a card that I am very proud of, its 3D, and it looks sooo cool!!! It was a little hard to figure out how to make the tree stand up off the paper, but after some thinking I figured it out. I have a top view and a side view so you can see how it looks.

Here are all the cards I made, in oreder. The first eight I made earlier in the week but the rest I made Saturday and Sunday. There are acouple missing from this picture, but I will post it later with more cards I have planned to make.

I love making and sending homemade cards to people, it makes me feel good that some one else and see and addmire my work. I hope you anjoyed my cards, and I hope to post more soon.

From a Prophets mouth to my Heart.

This past weekend we had General Conference. Its always amazing what the Prophet and his counselors say to lead and direct us. One of my favorite things to do is get my own copy of the magazine that has all the talks are put into, and then read each talk, mark my favorite things, write notes in the margins, and then write down my favorite quotes. Its uplifting and inspiring.
\
This past conference focused a lot on the youth, how they should act, how they should choose their friends, and the things they should avoid. Even though these talks are centred to the youth, we as adults can still listen and apply what they say to us. a big deal was music, how there is so much bad music around us and we need to not listen to the bad and only focus on the good. I know that my ipod has songs that shouldn't be on there, but most of the time if we like the artiest or the beat we ignore what the words say. Even if we don't say swear words, but they are repeated in the songs we listen to, thats almost as bad as saying them, because you are numbing yourself to them and getting used to hearing them so you don't care anymore if you hear it.

One of my favorite parts of conference are the stories, and depending on who tells the stories their really interesting to watch. President Thomas Monson (who is the President of the LDS church) gave a funny story, and the facial expressing and movements has he gave it made it the all more funny and interesting to watch, his stories are always uplifting. The story he told on Sunday was about him as a little boy and earning $5 during the depression, and how great that little $5 were, he talked about almost losing it one time because he left it in his pants pocket that were sent to the wash, how sad he was, he talked about praying to the Lord, that the Lord would keep his $5 safe. In the end when you got is pants back from the wash the $5 dollars were still in the pocket, he was so happy, he thanked the Lord and then went on with the rest of his day.

I love the Spirit during Conference its so strong, I hope that the next conference in April will be as wonderful as this one. (which I kinda already know it will)

We all have that one quote...

...that makes us smile and reflect on life, that might make us cry. Here are some of my favorite quotes.

- Winson Churchill

"Opportunity is missed by most people, because its dressed in overalls and looks like work"

-Proverbs 14:6
"And as all fo you have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; ye, seek learning even by study and also by faith."
-Dortrine and Covenants 88:118
"An overflow of good coverts to bad"
-Shakespeare
"Be not afread of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them"
-Shakespeare

Have you ever thought......

That the things you learn now will become vitle to your children? You may not be a person that likes to cook, but what if one of your children do?
I lot of people think that cooking and sewing are over rated, that there usless when you have the freezer section and the sears down the street. Have you looked at todays world? We are in the greatest need for cookers and sewers.
I have been sewing since I was 5, I love it. This past prom I made my dress for $60 and everyone who asked me where I got it were shoked that i made it, because it looked like it was store bought.
I make my own halloween costumes, to dresses and skirts for church, it brings me sooooo much joy to create something from basicly nothing, I can't wait for my house to be done, or have time and space to make all thes dresses and skirts that I have planned. Its going to be soooo exciting.
When I am really upset I cook, for me its a way or releaving stress. I love cooking, I love creating wonderful smelling and tasting food. One of my fav things to cook is Banana bread, and everyone I know loves it. recently I had banana bread that had chocolate chips and cherry's in it, soooooo good!!!! I had four pieces. My bad! But it was just SOO good!!!!
I also like to mix things up, like add pepermint or almond extract to cookies or brownies, it fives it flavor and a little surprise.

The stress of college!!

I was Home schooled my whole life. And next week will be the first time I go to a reall school by my self. I have gone ro public school once, with my cousin, so I had someone with me a knew. Now I'm going to be walking into a class where I dont know anybody, and on top of that I'm on the wait list, so that just adds to my stress. I'm really scared to go, like REALLY scared. And everyone says that it will be fine, and I will get into my classes, but I'm not sure.
It will be a whole new colture to me, I'm not used to immodst cloths or swearing.
I'm going to try and take a English class and a Math class. The thing I'm most excited about is the dance class i will be taking!!!! I love dancing. I'm only worried that my knees will couse problems, but lets hope they don't.
I am scared to go, but at the same time I can't wait to go, it will be new and exciting, I hope to make new friends, and get a better education. Which is why I am going. I think the whole point in going to college would be to get an education. Its the thing that will matter the most in this life, and in the life to come.
I want to become a Engineer and that means a lot of math, and those of you dont know, I am really good at math, but it takes me 10x longer to understand and get it, pluse I have a reading disability, so for me to become an Engineer it will be a lot harder for me then other people, it will be a challenge, but if I want to do it hard enough I will accoumplish it.
I know I will be able to do it with a lot of time managment and prayers.
Everyone should try and get the best education they can. It will make the biggest different in your life. Read a book, or write a paper. Anything that will couse you to want to learn more.
Learn, Laugh, Love is my moto, live by it.

Showing your inner strength!

One definition of courage is showing your inner strength.
I love this definition, it shows what I believe courage is. President Monson said

"Let us have the courage to dify the consensus, the courage to stand up for principles.

Courage, not comprimise, brings the smile of God's approval."

Courage is a lost art in todays word, to many of us fall into the trend of today, to many people are scared to be themselves and stand up for what they believe.

I have had my faith tried a lot, and its not easy, but that doent mean its not the right thing to do. Your one act of courage can influence another.

Someone said "that courage is not the sbsense of fear but the mastery of it. At times, courage is need to rise above, to strive above it."

I agree with this person. I think that it takes courage to have courage. Strive for what right and good, and you will secced and become great.

SUPER BLOG WEEK!!! (and yes I stoll this from a friend)

Hello everyone, I'm goinbg to be doing something called SUPER BLOG WEEK!!!! where I, your lovely blogger will write about something everyday for a week, it will be interesting what I come up with.
This first post will be about my garden.

How a garden can be your baby.

I started my garden in late april with just a tomato plant and a jalapeno plant. It then grew in the months to come to have ober 55 plants, not all of them bared fruit, but they were there none the less.
Resently I have found that all my watermelon plants, cantlope, and all but one squash have a fungess and need to be taken out. But I'm hoping that I have enough time that some of my watermelon will get big enough so I will be able to eat them.

I'm excited an happy about my little garden, and I can't wait to start all over. It will be both exciting and new, because I will be planting new and different plants.

Tune in tomorrow to see the next post. (yes I know this isnt a radio)

A life well spent!

On friday the 22nd of July, I went to a dear friends funeral. She was my addopted Grandma and died from liver cancer. I dont rememebr her really at all because I was so little when I interacted with her.
But tears cam to my eyes when I heard my mom tell stories about when we were little, and how much my grandma was a secound mom to my mother. I felt real love for someone I dont really remember.
My Grandma taught my mom how importent it is to live with what you have and to make the most of it, she taught her how to cook better, gave her recipies, taight her how to make something simple into something grand. She is a truly wonderful lady and will be greatly missed in my family, but she will always be in my heart.
I know she is much happier with our Heavenly Father, and she is still loved. She went through many hard trials. She had a desies that caused her to break out in bumps and sores if she was exposed to sunlight. She spent a the greater part of her life in pain, and now that is all gone, I miss you Grandma, but you will always be in my heart. Love you!

Easter!!

The Friday before Easter I asked my Best friend Tyler on a date. We first had lunch at my house then biked over to a park to hang out and take pictures, on the way we got ice cream. It was a blast.

I surpised him with an Easter basket, he loved it. And I changed some of the tradional rules, like instead of a bunny I got him an alian. Plus a couple pictures from the park.
We hav shared many memories together, and have had our ups and down as all friends do, but he is a wounderful person and I'm so glad I am able to spend time with him.
